Parents killed in car accident while going to see injured son

A teen from Missouri was seriously hurt in a car accident and had to be put into a medically-induced coma. He'd been in a head-on collision. The coma did not last for long, but, when he was pulled out of it after the weekend, he got some devastating news: His parents had also been involved in a head-on crash, and it happened while they were driving to the hospital to visit him, after getting the news of his accident. Both of them passed away in the wreck.

The 19-year-old had to be transported to University Hospital in Columbia after his wreck on a Friday morning. That accident happened on U.S. 54, which is in Camden County. His parents were then killed on Highway 5, near Lebanon, as they headed to the hospital.

The young man works at Wal-Mart, and his co-workers were very concerned when they heard what had happened to him. They said they hoped he got better, but they also understood what a tough situation he was in. Not only was the emotional blow hard to fathom, but his financial situation was problematic, as well. They started a crowdfunding campaign to try to help.

The woman who started that campaign admitted that she wasn't even that close to him, but she mentioned that his whole life was ahead of him at his age. She said her goal was to bring it back as close as possible to normal.

As this shows, since the financial impact of a situation like this is hard to comprehend, it's critical for people to know if they have a right to compensation. That won't ease the emotional trauma, but it can help with medical bills and other costs moving forward.
